History

Founded over 60 years ago, Humeau is a major French supplier of analytical products for the microbiological and physico-chemical laboratory in the agri-food sector

2004	Humeau gains ISO 9001:2000 registration, certified by AFAQ (see certificate).	CERTIFIÉ ISO 9001 (AFAQ)
1997	Mr Dominique GELOT takes over the business.
1980	The company specialises in the supply of microbiological and physico-chemical analysis products to all kinds of agri-food businesses.
70's	The dairy laboratory equipment business is launched as an addition to the manufacturing activity. It outperforms the latter at a time when new agri-food sectors are developing rapidly (meat, eggs, vegetables, convenience foods…).
1938	The company is founded by Mr René HUMEAU. He begins the manufacture of ferments and rennet for the numerous dairy cooperatives based in the west of France.

Our activities

The company has enjoyed considerable growth over the last few years, achieving a turnover of €12m. and employing 45 people.

Our activity is divided into two market segments:

AGRI-FOOD INDUSTRY

The agri-food sector represents 83% of our activity, with 17% in export.
We are specialised in food analysis, and are leaders in this area. Humeau can offer a total package, from turn-key solutions for the establishment of new laboratory facilities to the supply of consumables for routine or research analyses.
Our clients include industries, public and private analytical laboratories, universities and research centres in the field.

SERVILAIT

This branch represents 13% of our present activity and continues Humeau's original business, which was centred around the supply of ingredients (lactic ferments, rennet, flavourings, spices) to small-scale dairy producers and farmers processing their milk into cheese or yoghurt.
