Final pH 7.4 ± 0.2 at 25 °C.

Lactose glucose agar with added ammonium iron citrate (Merck) or iron sulfate (Diagnostic Pasteur) according to Kliger for the identification of Enterobacteriaceae.
Suspend 58 g/l (Biokar), 53.5 g/l (Diagnostic Pasteur) or 55 g/l (Merck).Autoclave for 15 minutes at 121°C.
Incubation over 48 h at 37 °C.
