Reading:
E. coli 0157:H7 forms non-flourescent greenish colonies under UV light.
Confirmation:
With specific antisera.

Description:
Selective agar for the isolation and differentiation of enterohemorrhagic (EHEC) Escherichia coli 0157:H7 strains (highly dangerous microorganism) from foodstuffs and clinical specimen material.
Directions:
Suspend 55 g in 1 litre of purified water. Autoclave 15 min at 121°C.
Technique:
- After enrichment in Lauryl Sulfate Broth, inoculate the surface of plates with 0.1 ml.
- Incubation 37°C/16-24 h.
