SCOPE
BBL Enterotube II is a ready-to-use system for the identification of enterobacteriaceae (Salmonella, Yersinia, Escherichia?).
Enterobacteriaceae =
Gram-negative+ oxydase-negative.

DESCRIPTION
An inoculating wire runs down the whole Enterotube II for complete inoculation of 12 specific media which will simoustaneously display 15 biochemical characteristics.
The 12 media are hence inoculated in a single step.
Incubation: 37°C/20-24 heures (preferably in a vertical position).
A coding system called ?Biocode? together with an interpretation guide allows for easy identification of the microbial genus and/or species after media reading (see diagram below).
