Enrichment broth for the detection of E. coli. 0157:H7 in food products, especially in dairy products.
DIRECTIONS
Suspend 36.7 g/litre of demineralised water.
Autoclave at 121°C/15 min.
TECHNIQUE
Inoculate the mEC broth with the sample
material (usually 25 g of the sample in 225 ml of broth).
Incubate at 35-37°C/18-24 h.
Afterwards streak out 0.1 ml of the broth on a E. coli 0157 : H7 selective agar.
