DNase Test Agar

For the detection of staphylococci.

Development is carried out with normal hydrochloric acid normal or with a 0.1% toluidine blue solution.

Casein tryptic hydrolysate 20.0
DNA 2.0
Sodium chloride 5.0
Agar 12.0
Final pH 7.3 ± 0.2 at 25° C.

Agar for the detection of microbial DNase, especially Dnase-positive staphylococci.
Suspend 39 g/l. Autoclave 15 minutes at 121°C.
Incubation 24 h at 37°C.
