Ferric citrate 1.0
Sodium deoxycholate 3.0-5.0
Lactose 10.0
Neutral red 0.02
Agar-agar 12.0
Final pH 7.3 ± 0.2 at 25°C


Citrate lactose agar with added deoxycholate for the isolation and identification of Salmonellae et Shigellae.
Suspend 47.5-52 g/l. Cool quickly.Do not autoclave.
Incubation 24 h at 37 °C.
