Peptone from caseine 10.0
Beef extract 5.0
Yeast extract 1.0
Glycine 12.0
Sodium pyruvate 10.0
Lithium chloride 5.0
Agar-agar 15.0 to 20.0
Final pH: 6.8 ± 0.2 at 25°C

For the detection of coagulase+ staphylococci.
Supplements: egg yolk tellurite + sulfamethazine.
Suspend 58-63g in 950 ml. Dispense 100 ml per bottle. When required, add the following to 100 ml of molten agar cooled to 45-50°C:
? 5 ml of potassium egg yolk tellurite
? 2.5 ml sulfamethazine at 0.2%.
Incubation at 37°C for 24-48 hours.
