FIELD OF APPLICATION
Chromogenic medium for the isolation and identification of V. parahaemolyticus, V. vulnificus and V. cholerae.
PREPARATION
For 1 litre of medium, suspend 1 dose (ref. 572.000487.60) in 1 litre of demineralised or distilled water.
For 5 litres of medium, suspend 1 dose (ref. 572.000483.74) in 5 litres of demineralised or distilled water.
In all cases, the amount of Vibrio agar must be 74.7 g/l of demineralised or distilled water.
Bring to the boil 100°C until complete dissolution by swirling slowly and regularly.
Cool, keep molten at 48°C and pour into Petri dishes.
INOCULATON and INCUBATION
Inoculate the surface and incubate at 37°C for 24 h.
